Renaissance Cancun Resort & Marina

We spent 2 nights at the Renaissance Puerto Cancún in January and were very impressed with the professionalism of the staff (especially Ingrid!) and the overall hotel atmosphere. This is a luxurious hotel with very comfortable, elegant rooms. Its location in Puerto Cancún is gorgeous! The growing Marina is absolutely breathtaking! It will be world class when completed. The Renaissance location is enhanced by the attached Mall just a few steps from the lobby. If you need assistance, all of the staff is eager to help. I recommend reaching out to Ingrit. She is a customer service specialist!

I stayed at the Renaissance Cancun Resort & Marina for seven days during their off season in October. I had an ocean view room - Room 502. I could see the sunrises over the ocean from my room. My room was spacious and very clean. I liked there were large shower products so I did not need to pack those items. The king bed was plush and like a cocoon that you did not want to exit. Another perk is with QR code, you can link the TV in the room with your phone and listen to Spotify or YT Music. There is a restaurant in the lobby with buffet option or a la carte option - the food was great. All staff encounters from in person or on the phone were professional, welcoming and eager to help. Attached mall is awesome when it rains and you need dinner options at night. Rooms are excellent. Pool is nice, location and views too. Really nice part of town Staff was helpful but we weren't shown to our room upon arrival.

Absolutely beautiful Marriott near the marina. Beautiful , clean, and modern rooms with quite the views. I visit here once a month for business and always order a passion mojito by the pool. The area is VERY safe, walking distance to a ma and delicious eateries. Ive chosen this hotel over hawaii trips. The staff is kind and welcoming. Book a stay here and you will not regret.

It’s a great location and rooms are but on a smaller side but nice. Shower clean and bathroom again on smaller side but I guess that is being downtown. Visit to the private beach club included was a great bonus to overcome a location that is not close to ocean. Very good breakfast with great view of their infinity pool.

The Renaissance Cancun Resort & Marina is situated in the northern part of the Hotel Zone at Marina Puerto Cancun, featuring an ocean-themed, modern, and sleek interior ambiance, stunning marina and sunset views, and excellent amenities such as a pool, a fitness center equipped with the latest exercise equipment, and a spa. It is located in a safe, upscale area (Puerto Cancun), away from the busy central hotel zone. Our stay was excellent; the staff provided genuine hospitality, and we appreciated the amenities and access to the private beach club. The room with a balcony overlooking the marina was superb, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel’s connection to Marina Puerto Cancun shopping mall, with its shops and diverse dining options, enhanced our experience. We particularly enjoyed the impressive breakfast buffet at Kaajal restaurant in the lobby, featuring both Western and local dishes such as pulled beef, omelets, a juice bar, breads, and pastries. Overall, we valued our time at this upscale hotel. We experienced a few concerns during our stay: we hope the hotel can reinforce its smoke-free policy, as our neighbor smoked on the balcony, which was quite unpleasant. Additionally, the hallway on the entire floor had a musty odor, and a fan was continuously running, which was somewhat noisy and not ideal.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel (February 2026). Special thanks to Karen and Monserrat at the reception who honoured our Bonvoy elite status by offering us a complimentary upgrade to the wonderful suite with amazing view on the marina. Also, thanks to Octavio and Claudio for the excellent service in the restaurant — thank you for your attention and professionalism!

Very nice hotel. It is attached to the mall too which has a lot of great stores and restaurants. Nice balcony view, clean rooms and definitely modern. Will come back next time!
